"I'm Karl from Kinoko Kingdom! Aka here!" Karl's breath hitched at the hesitation, shaking his head in panic. So how was Karl in every place they were? Surely that wasn't possible. Charlie had seen the countless starts and ends of lives, watching them get reincarnated ten fold. That was wrong, no way he could have been all those places. In a village filled with suspicion, as a pirate hunting for treasure, far beneath the ocean in a forgotten city, at a party gone wrong, participating in duels in the wild west, hunting ghosts in an abandoned mansion, even spectating gladiator fights. Images of Karl flashed through his mind, all in different locations. Las Nevadas.? But that's where- Does he know Quackity? Voice cheerful with innocence, oblivious to what was going on. "Hello! I'm Charlie from Las Nevadas!" His eyes crinkled with an unseen smile. "Who are.?" The brunette asked hesitantly, wiping away the tears that seemed to go on forever. Before any questions could be asked he dug himself a hole deep enough to where his eyes barely poked out the top. Man seemingly made of slime slid out clumsily, almost tripping with a lighthearted giggle. Even worse, hurt him.Ī faint sucking sound was heard amongst the wall a couple feet away. He betrayed the one promise he made the day he said yes. No matter how much he believed it was all fine when they started this damned country it truly wasn't. Small sobs of regret escaped Karl's lips. They're meant to do everything and anything to make sure the others felt loved. Was El Rapids the last time they were truly happy together? Sure they had the heartbreak of Dream's attempt at destroying it but they recovered just fine! So why didn't this recover.ĭid Quackity believe they replaced him with George? They did start Kinoko without him but that was because he was gone! How were they to know Quackity would've wanted in? Because they're meant to be fiancés. Thoughts circled his mind as he tried to answer the question. Now his hands felt cold and empty without their embrace. Sun bathing their faces in pure endless joy. How could things have gone so wrong so quickly? It felt as if just yesterday the three of them held hands as they lay in a field of peaceful bliss. Silent tears decorated the watch as sobs overtook the brunette. Innocent hopes and dreams filled the photo, blind to the way everything will change only for the worse. Inside the cover held a photo of the three of them, smiling as if nothing else mattered in the world but the two they held dearest. A forever cherished gift from his fiancés to mark their engagement. He stared at a rose gold pocket watch solemnly, fingers rubbing over the swirl pattern that marked the back. The grass nudging against him in the soft summer breeze. Karl sat leaning against a mushroom wall of Kinoko Kingdom.
